The beautiful and newly renovated Bambi Cabin is an upscale premium cabin, and the only rental cabin within the Overgaard Bison Ranch Community that provides a fenced backyard, and borders the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest, affording excellent privacy and view. The Overgaard Bison Ranch master-planned community is at 6600 feet elevation and is a 160-acre mountain retreat along the Mogollon Rim, and in the summer is always 25-30 degrees cooler than the valley! The Overgaard Bison Ranch Community is the only Bison Ranch property in the White Mountains of Arizona that has uniquely re-created a western town and Main Street from the 1800's, which truly captures the essence of the relaxed western lifestyle. Best of all, this town comes alive with restaurants, eateries, a family friendly saloon. It has a variety of shops, including an ice cream parlor offering WiFi and an old fashioned general store, complete with board sidewalks just like in the movies! Weekly entertainment, during the summer in the open air Town Square, serves as a community getaway place. All of this is within a 10-minute walk from the Bambi Cabin.
Accommodations for our guests boast all the conveniences a family would need for any length of stay, assuring your family's vacation will be a special and memorable vacation any time of the year. Provided are (2) spacious bedrooms; each bedroom has a new comfortable queen size pillow top mattress, along with (2) full bathrooms and picture windows throughout, looking out to the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. Front and back decks and air conditioning are provided for the summer months if needed. The Aspen Cathedral Ceiling living room has a large (seasonal) fireplace, (2) luxurious Robb & Stucky leather sofa sleepers, NEW SATELLITE PLASMA TV, VCR/DVD, a selection of family videos and games, including a Nintendo 64 Game System. The furniture is so comfortable that kicking back for an afternoon naps, becomes hard to resist.
On the same road as the Bambi Cabin, you'll find Bison Ranch's private and stocked fishing lake (fishing license not required), a playground with picnic areas and tennis and basketball courts. If riding horses is your thing, head on over to the stables and reserve your spot for a trail ride through the forest. The stables offer personal boarding if you're bringing your own horse along while on vacation.
The kitchen is equipped with all the comforts of home; cooking utensils, wine glasses, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and a full-sized oven; we even supply the coffee! The washing machine and dryer are located in an adjacent room off the kitchen and after a day of hiking trails, mountain biking, motorcycles, quad riding, fishing or other activities, you'll be happy to have these conveniences at your finger tips. In the afternoons from the back deck overlooking the National Forest, watch for the wild horses grazing while barbequing and watching the gorgeous sunset. The stars at night are truly a one of a kind experience; this is the life!
